Driver survives two-vehicle crash outside Russell as semi burns
A 42 year old RM of Shellmouth Boulton man escaped serious harm when his 2005 Dodge Ram struck an eastbound semi at the Hwys 83 and 16 junction. The crash ruptured the gas tank, ignited fuel, and the cab caught fire. Both drivers were released on the scene after EMS assessment. The semi’s grain and diesel contamination prompted an on-site environmental review and ongoing RCMP investigation with pending charges.
