Shellmouth Orchestra provided music and prizes included a Nutail salad bowl, Mr F Bird fountain pen, Miss Reich ladies booby, Master Fred Cane boys booby. Supper by Lady Patronesses and thanks from Mr Newsholme closed the event.

Easter Services At Christ Church Note Bright Spirit

On the first Sunday after Easter Christ Church held a full program with Sunday School at 2 30 and Evensong and sermon at 7 pm. The sanctu ary was decorated with Easter lilies and carnations by WA and GA. The chief service the Choral Eucharist at 11 am featured a handsome engraved Alms Basin donated by the Junior Auxiliary. Rita Bell and Isabel Pace presented it at the altar. Festival Evensong praised the music and the choir and orchestra gave strong performances under Mr G A Cope and the choir. Easter baptisms were noted and several names listed.

The Cuthbert church held a disaster service Tuesday evening led by Rev David Gardner and Rev Nelson Smith with a hope for future services.
