Rev and Mrs Harry Crump, longtime Presbyterian missionaries among Manitoba Indians, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary after about 34 years of service. Crump, born 1880 in Coventry, England, began church work in 1901 and moved to Canada, joining the Presbyterian church in 1923 and dedicating most of his life to mission work in Manitoba.

Joy Goode of 14 Christ Church Road Worthing wed Dale Brian Von Hagen a Canadian airman after Joy's mother was rushed to hospital for an operation. The ceremony at Christ Church was followed by an Embassy Restaurant reception. The couple met at sea 18 months earlier and plan to live in France near Marville after honeymoon.
