RCMP report multiple charges after August incidents
Rossburn RCMP report a string of August incidents with multiple charges. Individuals faced impaired driving, break and enter, assault, willful damage, and weapons cases, plus thefts at Olha farm and Angusville Hotel. Additional incidents on Lizard Point Reserve involve liquor possession and vehicle-related offenses.

Derkach to chair education session at policy conference
Manitoba MLA Len Derkach will chair an education panel at the PC policy conference in Winnipeg. The K-12 session at Westwood Collegiate on Oct 17 runs 8 9 registration and 9 am start with four panelists Linda McIntosh Valerie Wake Gerry Dougall and Martin Buchwald. A questions period and small group follow ups will cap the session followed by lunch with Gary Filmon.

Members of Birdtail Women’s Institute plan the Regional Convention to be held in Rossburn on April 6 1988. They choose a convention theme and order 200 cookbooks for sale before Christmas. Board member reports and seminars are noted with events in Minitonas and Grandview. World Food Day is October 16 and raffle winners are Helen Kuzenko and Ivan Castle.
