The Ukrainian Greek Orthodox choir of Winnipeg under Maxim Pasichnnsk will perform a choral service broadcast by CJGX Yorkton on Sunday October 26 from 8 30 to 9 00 p m CST. The Very Rev W Sawchuk will give a brief address during the program.
The Manitoba Pool Elevators, meeting at Marlborough hotel in Winnipeg, decides to seek a permanent agricultural policy. It calls for soil conservation, parity prices, and fair share wheat export rules. A unanimous Ottawa submission will follow district meetings across 167 pool elevators.
R Peden's Sale Register lists auctions at multiple farms. On Oct 30 Mr S and S E Hamilton near Roseburn hosts an sale at 1 p.m. On Nov 1 Mr W T McDonald near Roasbarn hosts a morning sale. On Nov 6 E Ewanchak near Bird Tail offers cattle and implements at 1 p.m. On Nov 8 Pas tocozak near N W Sec 22-21-25 offers sick and implements at 1 p.m.
Dave Cleland returns home from Winnipeg as residents report several post in the area. Robert Maxwell and Mike Belbos join the Army and are stationed at Dauphin. Mr M Church and son Walter travel to Winnipeg by train. Fr Rowat Veitch buys Fardell's house and plans to move it to his land. Ranchvale Red Cross ladies host a hot dog sale at W. Craigs, raising 18 dollars. Mr and Mrs W Craigs relocate to Red Deer Alta by car. Mr and Mrs Pardell depart by train to Winnipeg to live there. Mr A Joiner finds work in Winnipeg with Canada Packers Ltd. Payda, former local, returns east. Alec Burneski accompanies him, seeking work there.

Mike Aang from Winnipeg lost an ear in accident. Peter Bidochka had car breakdown Tuesday. wife returning home. John Maydoniuk hauled cream for Minnedosa Co-op last summer. last trip Friday. Nick Kaban injured hand drilling at brother’s farm. Tony Sawchuk departs for Portage la Prairie military training on the 30th. Local youths Leonard Womito way, Matt Semonnik, Matt Sawchuk hired by International Nickel Co. mines Sudbury. Congratulations to Pte. Alex Malaniuk and Stella Bidochka on Saturday wedding at Grandview. Alex on active service since January.
Vista Seed Club placed third at the Shoal Lake Seed Fair on October 21. A Fowl Supper that same day drew many from nearby towns. The Boys and Girls Club plan a Social Evening on November 7 with special fair prizes. Since January 1941 the local Red Cross has sent 24 quilts to Winnipeg headquarters. Mr. and Mrs. R. J. Alexander and family visited Brandon last Saturday. Mr. E. G. McLeod is visiting Bezanson Alberta with Mr. and Mrs. O H Miller.
Angusville marks sales by Chas Mushumanski on Oct 30 and A Worneski sells farm gear on Nov 1. Local fowl suppers raise 120 dollars with Ukrainian and church events. Wedding of John Chuckree on Oct 18 and wings earned by Adolph Siwak in Brandon. Residents Kennedy Flin Flon Winnipeg and Pte Bartram Kachin Young listed among visitors.

Mike Belbas is joining the Army while Mrs. Allan Elvers shows no improvement in health. Mrs. Fardell received a cup and saucer from Ranchvale Ladies Aid. Andrew has recovered from a minor operation and plans to come home soon. Helen Smith travelled to Winnipeg seeking work. Fileen Elvers moved to take up city housework. The Craig family held a farewell party on October 21. they were given a money gift. Jack Plante and Bill Semeniuk are on leave. Robert Macwell visited before enlisting in His Majesty's Service.
Mrs H Barnes visited Brandon while Mrs D McKenzie makes progress after an operation at Winnipeg General Hospital. S J Weatherley and R Lindsay won mink prizes at Minnedosa Live Fur Show. CGLT Victory Group girls toured the Review Office. Nomination Day is November 12 with municipal elections to follow. War impacts expected financial outlook for next year.
