Permanent Agricultural Policy Sought

The Manitoba Pool Elevators, meeting at Marlborough hotel in Winnipeg, decides to seek a permanent agricultural policy. It calls for soil conservation, parity prices, and fair share wheat export rules. A unanimous Ottawa submission will follow district meetings across 167 pool elevators.

Vista Seeds Shine At Shoal Lake Fair And Community News

Vista Seed Club placed third at the Shoal Lake Seed Fair on October 21. A Fowl Supper that same day drew many from nearby towns. The Boys and Girls Club plan a Social Evening on November 7 with special fair prizes. Since January 1941 the local Red Cross has sent 24 quilts to Winnipeg headquarters. Mr. and Mrs. R. J. Alexander and family visited Brandon last Saturday. Mr. E. G. McLeod is visiting Bezanson Alberta with Mr. and Mrs. O H Miller.
