Nominees for Reeve of Rural Municipality Rossburn for 1950 51 are Max Nahirniak Ruthenia John Ryszytylo Rossburn and Steve Ukrainetz Rossburn. Incumbent Harris Huston did not seek re election. Ward 1 and 3 councillors were elected by acclamation. Village offices including School Trustees filled by acclamation. Mayor Earl Moffat re elected. Councillors Antonichuk Sicinski and school board Williamson Andrew re elected by acclamation. Joe Kostesky elected by acclamation to fill vacancy from A Yarmey resignation.

Provincial Ukrainian Women's Convention Held in Oakburn
The Ukrainian Women's Association of Canada held a district convention in Oakburn on Sunday with over 150 attendees including delegates from Sandy Lake Brandon Dauphin and Winnipeg. Mass was led by Rev. D F Stratychuk followed by dinner at the Ukrainian National Home. Speakers included Miss D Hawrysyshin Mrs P Novasad and Mrs J Bilous among others. A folk dance and musical solos capped the program.

Islay School District Attendees Spend Thanksgiving Weekend
