Walkathon Draws 60 Participants On 26 Mile Run
Sixty walkers completed the Rossburn to Oakburn return course totaling 26 miles despite a strong south east wind. Walter Zaugg won in 5 hours 10 minutes 50 seconds and will have his name engraved on the Lions Club cup. Mil ton Tanner took second and a tie between Tony Kalechyn and Bernie Biedron for third. Oldest participant was 84 year old Laird Duncan son and youngest was 8 year old Laurie Aylwin. Mrs Eugene Caldwell raised the most pledges with 98.80.
