The Rossburn Review, edited by J. Bowler, announces publisher status and membership in the Bac-one Weekly Association and the Manitoba W.N.A., as part of its official notice from the office in Victoria.
The United Church led by Rev B F Parsons at Rossburn and Vista hold church school at 11.00 am and divine service at 7.30 pm in Rossburn with 10.30 am school and 11.00 am service at Vista.

Orders are jotted on a pad, Braille shorthand used for entry, and calls completed swiftly with a cheery voice. The system uses markers instead of cords and braille keys, showcasing training of blind workers who earn by leveraging skill and brain.
A Rossburn district gathering on Sept. 28 heard J Leander of the Recy oil development discuss district potential and geological prospects for oil and gas. The meeting approved a four-member committee to seek funds for new drilling equipment and testing, with plans for a mobile rotary rig and educational footage.
Canada can mobilize 11 million people for the Fifth Victory Loan despite croakers claiming the target of 1.209 billion dollars is excessive. Proponents argue the nation has not reached its financial limit and that counter to Hitler and Hirohito’s aims, public resolve remains firm.

October 11 marks Thanksgiving Day and a Dominion holiday with all businesses and the Post Office closed. Edward Budz became first man at Birdtail after CNii work. Mr and Mrs P Banikowski and Sylvia left for Sudbury Ontario after staying with the stater's parents. Rodney Budz of the RCAP Souris was home for the weekend. A plane circled town on Sunday September 26 around 4 pm. Valley School pupils, under Miss M Melnychuk, raffled a cushion Friday for the Red Cross, raising $12.00 for Rossburn.
The Vista fair lists prize recipients across livestock and crops. Calves winners include John Williamson Ernest Chesney Iris MacDonald. hog trophies go to Walter Woychesin Willis Stitt and Gilbert Chesney. best groomed hog to Gilbert Chesney and best pair to Walter Woychas in. Poultry winners name Corinne O Donnell Viola Hamilton Wilton Brown with heavy breeds by Steve Woytowch. Cockerel on grounds awarded to Corinne O Donnel. Vegetables and crafts prizes split among Evelyne Breaky Viola Hamilton and Shirley Cormack Emily Droskoski Yvonne O Donnell Corigne O Donnell.
Pte Joe Kaminski returns home on a two week furlough while Pte Paul Sacknea spends leave with his mother. Miss Vivian Mann visits Winnipeg relatives. Doris Bartram of Fort Osborne Barracks Winnipeg is on sick leave. Donations support Ruth Boot who won a Grade 11 scholarship. Mrs Frank Angus hosts weekend guests W J Rina and Mrs W J Rion returns from Dauphin. Fern Ferguson resumes duties at St Boniface Hospital in Winnipeg. Mr and Mrs W H Davis and Barry of Carrot River visit T Manns. Ed and Stan Gryba return to Flin Flon after visiting the home of Mr and Mrs M Sirniak.
Winnipeg resident Mr. T. Hanlin is in the district while Lance-Cpl Frank Steale visited his wife near Portage la Prairie. The Vista Ladies Aid plans a tea at Mr. Menzies Shop Rossburn on Saturday October 9 from 9 to 12. LAC and Mrs Wingert with daughter visited A Chesney. A Woods of Oakburn and E Woods of Ontario called on W J Hamilton. S Labay family visited Sitko family. The Boys and Girls Club Pair event on Sept 27 was a great success with prize winners listed in rotation.
