Constable Duff Whyte, the RCMP officer at Reston since June 1945, has been transferred to Rossburn effective September 28. He is noted for sports involvement in Reston, organizing a four team midget hockey league and serving as league statistician, and for duck and deer hunting with his dog Dale. Angusville Pioneer Laid To Rest
Angusville mourns Paul Kalyniuk dies after long illness at home aged 74. He came to Canada from Ukraine as a child, homesteaded in Rossburn district, and later returned to Angusville to farm the Allen Switzer property. Survived by wife Kate, two sons, six daughters, 16 grandchildren, three sisters, one brother, with funeral at Greek Catholic Church in Angusville on Sept 25.
