We express deep appreciation to Mr. and Mrs. John May daniuk and Mr. and Mrs. Steve Maydaniuk for staying with us during our moments of pathy. Mrs. John Kozak and children.
In memory of Margaret Cormack who died December 2, 1950. Her smiling way and pleasant face are treasured memories. She was kindly to all and loved by family. Beloved wife and mother remembered by Ben, Douglas, and Emelia with hope of reunion in the better land.
The Angusville community reports residents moving back to their Main Street home behind the hardware store, with Dr. and Mrs. Johnson to occupy the Grahamm Street house soon. Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Angus Rinn on their son Richard William born November 12. Additional births include Jerry Gordon to Mr. and Mrs. Joseph G. Brownlee and Linda to Mr. and Mrs. Mike Brykaliuk. Social notes mention visits by Mr. and Mrs. Jack Anderson and a 5th wedding anniversary trip by Mr. and Mrs. Michael Yaskin. Also noted is the sudden death of Mr. Stewart Corley in Russell.
Christmas cards in open covers with printed verse and five or fewer words of Seasonal Greetings cost 2¢ each. Cards sent with one cent postage are taxed 2¢ collected from the addressee. Please mail your Xmas cards early.
Notice offers will be received by the undersigned with a reserve bid of 30.00 for the 10 by 20 foot shed used as a waiting room at the rink last winter. It has a plank floor and could serve as a garage wood shed or other use. Best offer by 6 p.m. December 6 takes it. O R Hodge secretary RMRA.
Dr F J Greaney reports on Line Elevators Farm Service field tests from 1941 to 1952 showing 15 percent of wheat and 27 percent of barley seed stocks were not true-to-variety. Impure seed causes off-type plants and uneven ripening. using true-to-variety or Registered seed boosts yield and quality with ample supplies and reasonable prices.
Miss Doris Yarysh and David Yarysh of Brandon spent the weekend with friends and relatives in town. Miss Olia Borodie, at Winnipeg Normal School, also visited home. Mrs. Hubert of Camp Shilo and Mr. Morris Boychuk of Sandy Lake joined relatives here. Steve Matiatiog and Leonard drove to Winnipeg to relay Lecia’s Friday night draw win of a 1952 Metece four door sedan. Helen Lazaruk and Ronni e Antonation spent the weekend here. Modest Garelus and Ruth Hutton of Portage la Prairie wed in Winnipeg on 6 November.
