Soil moisture low across southern Manitoba says expert
A fall soil moisture survey shows the lowest levels in south central Manitoba near Pilot Mound Morden Morris and Altona with only 30 to 40 percent of capacity. Jim Tokarchuk of Manitoba Agriculture notes varying moisture and warns next year's crop prospects depend on winter snowfall and spring precipitation.
