Couple Honored On 25th Anniversary
Relatives friends and neighbours honored Mr. and Mrs. N. Chopp at their home for a silver wedding anniversary on Saturday night November 15. Daughter Lesia arranged the surprise with guests including Mr and Mrs Jerry Klymkin of Winnipeg and Mr and Mrs Albert Weselak of Ochre River. A special gift from Lesia and others marked the occasion while the couple thanked all who helped.

Funeral Rites For Joseph Peden Pioneer Resident
Joseph Peden aged 77 died Friday November 14 1958 at Victoria Hospital Winnipeg Manitoba. He was the first white child born in Rossburn Municipality on March 3 1881 and the last of the Peden family who arrived in 1879. Funeral services were held November 18 at the Rossburn Pentecostal Church with Rev I Roset and Rev H Howson officiating. He served long on the village council as councillor and was bailiff and provincial police. He was a Mason and bricklayer by trade retiring in 1952. He is survived by his wife Martha Jane Hamilton two daughters Violet and Alice, three grandchildren Beverley Alcock Brian and Borden Hadley, and two sons Carman and Robert. Predeceased by one daughter Zelma and by one son. Honorary pallbearers listed. active pallbearers named.
