Adam Crookshanks Accident Victim
Funeral held for Adam Crookshanks 42 who died in a car crash near Melville Saskatchewan Friday November 6. Interment with Legion rites at Indian Head Cemetery. Born January 10 1917 in Rossburn he served in the Canadian Army 1942 1946 and later worked at Forestry Farm Indian Head rising to officer in charge of distribution and later Research and Nursery before 1959. Rossburn Rural Council Meeting November Session
Rossburn Rural Municipality held its regular meeting on Tuesday November 10 with Reeve Ediding and most councillors present. Minutes and the October financial statement were approved. Three aid cases were settled. A $10 grant to Salvation Army $10 to St. John's Ambulance Brigade and $25 to the Children's Aid Society were approved. A snowplow grants request and equipment use by the district engineer were referred to the Department of Public Works. Bills for rent were approved and the council will reconvene December 8 at 1:00 p.m.

Funeral Rites for Mrs Pauline Kawka
Mrs Pauline Kawka 77 widow of Miketa Kawka of Angusville Manitoba died October 22 1959 after a two week illness at Sacred Heart Hospital. She was born in Ukraine and married in 1900. The Kawkas and family moved from Canada to Angusville after migrations via Rossburn. Funeral at Ukr Greek Catholic Church October 26 with Rev M Bzdel Rev L Luchkin and Rev R Zakreuski officiating. Survived by four daughters and one adopted daughter 25 grandchildren 31 great grandchildren. Burial in Greek Catholic Cemetery near the church.

Albert Adam Angus of Chippewa Park Fort William Ontario died November 3 after an unexpected illness Coroner R C Bull found the cause natural He was born November 5 1908 in Angusville Man He served in World War II as a prisoner of war and returned to Angusville Russell later moving to Fort William with his wife Rebecca Forshaw in 1942 He worked for the City Parks Board and was caretaker of the Tourist camp A Presbyterian and a member of the Canadian Legion Fort William Civic Employees Union Local 87 He is survived by his wife two sons Ian 12 Murray 9 one brother James of Chater Man and four sisters in Manitoba and British Columbia Funeral services were held November 5 at Jenkins Funeral Home with burial in Mountain View military plot Pallbearers were Parks Board workers and many relatives and friends noted the large number of tributes
