KidSport Manitoba Boosts Access to Youth Sports
Sport Manitoba founded KidSport in 1993 to help financially challenged children ages 5 to 18 participate in sport across the province. The program has funded registrations and gear, with Westman Sport Association delivering locally, noting donations go directly to children. In 1999 and 2000 the Fund supported hundreds of kids with thousands of dollars, and organizers emphasize expanding fundraising and awareness to sustain access to sport for all.
