Rossburn Collegiate Girls sweep Swan River tourney title
Rossburn Collegiate girls volleyball team defeated Swan River in the final to take first place with a 9-3 round robin record. They beat Neelin High of Brandon and The Pas along the way and claimed top honors for the fifth consecutive year. The Rossburn boys finished 4-10, with losses to Swan River Dauphin The Pas Killarney Grandview Roblin.

Melnyk Golden Anniversary Celebrated in Ukrainian Church
Mr and Mrs Peter Melnyk marked fifty years of marriage with a November 6 1976 celebration at the Ukrainian Catholic Church in Rossburn. Master of Ceremonies Dr Murray Tanasychuk introduced family and guests including Premier E Schreyer and Prime Minister Trudeau. A supper by the Ukrainian Catholic Women's League followed in the Rossburn Town Hall with gifts, toasts, and a midnight lunch.

Venturers Plan Canoe Trip After Summer Football Win

The inaugural meeting of the Rural Municipality of Ressburn was held at 10 00 am Tuesday November 9 1976 in the Council Chambers. Reeve John Mitchell and Councillors Ernest Drui Wally Peleshok Joe Dnis transky and William Antonow attended and took declarations of qualification and office. Minutes from October 18 were waived and approved. October financial statements and ward appropriations were received and filed. Joe Dnis transky was appointed Deputy Reeve and council committees and representation on organizations were discussed.
