County Lodge Meets at Rossburn for 1943 44 Officers

The Minnedosa L O L County Lodge annual meeting was held at the Orange Hall in Rossburn on November 11 with delegates from Minnedosa, Ioscarth, Ista and Rosburn. W C M Aylett presided and J G Stitt was recording secretary. Officers elected include P W Aslett as W C M, N Weller as deputy W C M, W Dillaborough as ree secretary, Rev B F Parsons as chaplain, H Alexander as marshal, and lecturers Wesley Strong and Q Broadfoot, W H Halliday as Tyler.

Local Pool Elevators Reports Finance At Annual Meeting

The Local Pool Association held its annual meeting in the Club Room on November 11 with Bert Mitchell chairing and L V Lawless as secretary. Wesley Williamson reported on the Winnipeg provincial meeting and Wright presented the district finances showing 13 months to July 1 1943 with Manitoba Pool Elevators handling over 38 million bushels and earnings near 3 million dollars. Vincent Polloway reported Rossburn Elevator figures with 120000 bushels and a 4375 dollar net surplus credited to Growers, prior to new directors being elected. The board now lists Gordon Taylor John Cormack Joe Huston Matt Glushka Bert Mitchell Wesley Williamson and L V Lawless.
