An up to date drilling operation will commence at Birdtail Manitoba with a Wichita Falls Spudder shipped from Chanelle Kansas. The crew plans to drill to 5000 feet and set 12% in casing as weather cooperates.
The November meeting was held in the lab room on Wednesday the 6th. New officers were elected: President Mrs Mae Crookshanks, Vice President Mrs Wilson Stitt, Second Vice President Mrs Mamylygo, Secretary Treasurer Mrs Howard Intosh. Members who have not paid their yearly fee should pay to the secretary as soon as possible. funds must be sent to headquarters before November 30.
Large crowd gathers in the Rossburn town hall Sunday afternoon to mark Rememberance Day. The program includes O Canada, prayers by Rev M Mack and Rev Nixon, solos by Mrs Mack and Mr N Poland, Scripture by Rev Nixon, hymns, and an address by Rev J Y Garrett. Roll call honors fallen servicemen read by Ed Harris.
Cary Mazier laid a commemorative service honoring many fallen soldiers including Robert Cumming Donald Christian William Collins and Wilfred Strong as the crowd heard the Last Post. The list of names spanned numerous families with dates and ranks implied in a solemn tribute.
