United Church Women Meet in Vista
The Vista United Church Women met at Mrs. Florence Stitt’s home with five members and two visitors. The group held a devotional, discussed topics, purchased a coord table for donation, reported profit from the Bazaar and Tea, sent out supplies and Xmas gifts, dealt with correspondence, and drew names for an Xmas gift exchange for December at Mrs. E. Young’s home with Dorothy Armstrong assisting. A Mizpah Benediction closed the meeting followed by a lunch.

Senior Volleyball Teams Dominate Tourneys Across Region
On October 29 the girls swept Roblin while the boys won two of three in Roblin exhibition play. November 1 saw both squads undefeated at Russell in a divisional tourney, the girls sweeping Russell and Elphinstone and the boys defeating the same teams. A Brandon trip yielded three straight losses for the girls and five straight for the boys, who erased an 11-0 deficit to win the second game. November 8 featured a Rossburn divisional tourney with the girls losing to Russell and beating Elphinstone, prompting a page continuation.

North Central Hockey League Expands With All Star Game Plan
The North Central Hockey League met November 9 at Rossburn Elementary with reps from Angusville Elphin stone Erickson Griswold Braves Strathclair Birtle Rusell and Rossburn. Russell entered unanimously. Nine teams possible if Griswold Dakotas stay. Fees set at 25 with referees paid 10 per game plus mileage. Referee-in-chief Lloyd Little. An Eastern versus Western All Star game is planned at the top club’s arena on January 21 with a weekend schedule January 31. Angusville Birtle Rossburn and Russell supply Western players others supply Eastern. Each team limited to three nonresidents. Lighting upgrades sought for Birtle Arena. MAHA to run Referees and Coaches Schools in Rossburn Strathclair. Attendance 26.
