Angusville Teams Win East West Titles in Soccer and Football
Angusville Elementary School captured both East and West Division crowns on October 28. The girls soccer team defeated Elphinstone 3 2 to finish with a three year no loss streak. The boys flag football squad beat Oakburn 43 12 to post a 5 1 season record. Congrats to players and coach.

A Preview of Winter in The Air This Week
A touch of winter was in the air Tuesday with light snow. Wednesday brought clear skies and cool winds, and the brief skiff of snow disappeared for most of the day.
Consignment Sale Raises Funds for Rossburn Rink
Figures are not finalized but about 428 dollars was realized from a consignment sale and lunch last Friday evening to aid the Rossburn Lions Club rink building fund.

Metropolitan Visits Oakburn Ukrainian Church
On October 31 1976 the Oakburn Ukrainian Catholic Church of the Holy Eucharist hosted Metropolitan Maxime Hermaniuk. A 10 am High Mass featured Rev P Borys Rev J Lehky and Rev Hrynchyshyn. After Mass the hall dinner followed as children presented carnations and a Sunday School concert impressed attendees.

Volleyball teams from RC I win at Grandview tourney
In the Grandview Spartans tournament RC I girls and RC I boys excel. Girls from Rossburn Gilbert Plains Winnipegosis Roblin Dauphin Russell Grandview win round robins and finals securing trophies. Boys from Rossburn Roblin Grandview Gilbert Plains St Vlad’s Swan River Russell win early matches but place second. Roblin claims the title with Grandview taking consolation. Rossburn heads to Swan River for the Swan Valley Tournament next weekend.

The November annual meeting was held at Mrs. Bill Tanasychuk’s home with several members and two visitors. The group opened with the Creed, read the annual minutes and treasurer’s report, and roll call involved wearing a poppy. Officers for the next term include Pres. Myrtle Maxwell, VPres Alice Hill, Sec.-Treas Karen Berg, Tanasychuk ASAT, Auditor Freda Butler, Sick Committee E. Kuzenko and Freda Butler, Reporter Bertrice Max. The next meeting is set for December 2 at Mrs. Bertrice Maxwell’s home.
