T George of Oak Bank was elected to fill the vacancy. W J Parer was re‑elected president and G N McConnell vice‑president with board members continuing in office.
The government urges farmers and all Canadians to cut needless spending and invest savings in Victory Loan Bonds and War Savings Certificates. Farmers can earmark proceeds from sales to replace worn equipment and expand operations, ensuring future readiness while supporting national war needs.

Sincere regrets are offered after the death of Mr. Norman Piasy age 29 from injuries in an October 27 farm belt accident near Rossburn at Balmerino. He died October 29 in Shoal Lake hospital. He is survived by his mother Mrs. J Piasy, three sisters and four brothers. Funeral was held October 31 at Balmerino church with pallbearers named from Foxwarren and area.
Mrs O Donnell from Plumas was home for the week end. A MacPhail visited Brandon. T Miller sold three York shire nogs to the Department of Agriculture. Boys and Girls Club host a Social Evening on Friday Nov 27. L Yaskiew heads to Pas Trail for winter with his brother Joseph. D A MacDonald Iris visited Rapid City and Brandon last week. Fowl Supper a big success despite weather and delayed threshing. R Yaskiew Jr with W Yaskiew and family visited Solazirth and Birtle last week. Do not look if loaded block attack guidance. Inquest comment: focus on other fallows.
