Vehicles Damaged in Rossburn Mishap Cluster
In about four hours Tuesday two separate crashes damaged vehicles near Rossburn. At 7:45 am a car collided with a Pelly Trail school bus north of town. no injuries and about $2,000 damage to both bus and car. At 11:45 am two cars collided near Slow's Garage with one hitting a parked truck toward the Rossburn Electric building. no injuries but extensive damage. Charges laid in connection with both accidents.

After a clear Halloween with dry mild weather youngsters enjoyed Trick or Treating. The next night and all of Tuesday brought gale winds with gusts up to 45 mph. A private TV tower fell in the gale. Dry conditions return with no snow or moisture expected for now.

Leaves for Alberta from Rossburn notices longtime residents
Mary Urbanowski has left Rossburn to live with her daughter and son in Alberta after 75 years in town. Her husband operated a Pool Hall and Barber Shop and they provided local movie entertainment for decades. Their daughter Lillian worked at the Bank of Toronto during the war while brothers Michael and Lawrence served overseas. Mary wishes friends they didn’t contact farewell and good luck.
