Manitoba Hydro uniform rates unchanged amid five year hold
Selinger announces uniform rates remain in effect for the fifth year with no electricity rate increases. Manitoba Hydro earned 480 million from exporting electricity in 2000 01 and will save customers about 14.4 million annually. Zone 2 households save roughly 33 yearly and Zone 3 rural residents over 120 yearly. An updated rate schedule appears in the November customer newsletter.
