Credit Unions sponsor Manitobans stay in school seminar
Manitoba credit unions funded and delivered the Choices Increasing Your Options program to grade nine students across the province. In two one hour sessions, youth learn money and time management, self-discipline, the consequences of decisions, and the value of education. More than 100 volunteers were trained as demand grew prompting a five year program commitment. The effort, timed with International Credit Union Day, emphasizes partnerships and staying in school to improve future employment prospects.
