Rossburn Baseball Teams Play through Busy Schedule
Five Rossburn squads compete in league play with the senior team posting three results, a 7-6 loss to Binscorth, an 8-7 loss to Inglis, and a 6-4 win over Foxwarren. Friday’s game at Rossburn begins at 6 30 p m. The Little League features three Rossburn teams plus Vista and Angusville with recent Rossburn No 2 victory over Vista 6-5 highlighted by Barry Mitchell and Ernest Hasiuk on offense and 16 strikeouts by Mitchell and Vista’s pitcher.

Hospital Aid Variety Fair Donations Acknowledged
The Hospital Aid thanks donors for the Variety Fair including cash gifts from Mr. Manzuik Mr. Lazaruk Mr. Melnyk Mr. Mat Shwaruk Mr. Tony Slow and many local stores and individuals listing goods from pails of grease to cans of fruit and toys. The event expands with many volunteers contributing. the hospital opening is set for Thursday June 14 with speakers including Hon. Ivan Schultz and Miss Margaret Nix and MLA R. Clement.

Ukrainian Bandurists Chorus Delights Oakburn Crowd
A large audience at the Ukrainian National Home in Oakburn on May 20th welcomed the touring Ukrainian Bandurists Chorus under Volodymyr Boshyk. The second North American tour featured religious, historic, and folk songs with bandura accompaniment, thrilling two and a half hours of sustained ovations and encores. Local sponsors included Rev. D. F. Stratychuk, Rev. Joseph Fornalchuk, J. N. Mandziuk, and S. P. Gerelus.
