Manitoba offers tax relief to border service stations
Manitoba announces graduated tax relief on gasoline and diesel for service stations within 60 kilometres of Saskatchewan rivals. The plan mirrors Saskatchewan’s tax cuts, with full relief in the same community and stepped rates within 20, 40, and 60 kilometres. Final concert closes division festival at Major Pratt
A large crowd gathered in the Major Pratt Collegiate Multi-Purpose Room on Friday April 29 1982 for the Final Concert closing the Music and Dance section of the festival. Dennis Boucher the principal served as master of ceremonies as 403 entries including several cancellations highlighted a busy festival week. Winners from Rossburn School included Action Song Grade One Choirs Bach Grade 4 Randas McMillan Piano class Rhythm 1 Band Grade 1 2 1A Rhythm 2 Racecar or 7 Band Ur on Dy 2wccruler nsemible Grade 7-12. The festival executive thanked staff parents and church for support and noted the event moves to Birtle for the next two years.
