Brandon University 73rd Spring Convocation Honors 1984
Brandon University will hold its 73rd Spring Convocation on May 12 with about 279 graduates receiving degrees. Chancellor Stanley Knowles will confer degrees, Audrey Hawthorn receives an Honorary Degree, and a 50th anniversary reunion for the Class of 1934 will be celebrated with a special certificate. A Valedictory by Ron Maier and medals and scholarships will be awarded. A reception follows in the Western Manitoba Centennial Auditorium foyer.

Barn roof blown off in Rossburn windstorm
The Review reports extensive damage from a late April windstorm that ripped the roof from the Chester Tanasychuk barn south of Rossburn. No livestock were harmed and no injuries were reported.

Centennial Display Shines at Rossburn Library
Rossburn Regional Library hosted a Centennial Display on Saturday May 5 featuring antiques over 100 years old from residents of Rossburn and area. Mrs Reenske Kaastra demonstrated the spinning wheel while Mrs Dora Werbowski showed wringer-washer wash methods. A fine display of yesteryear artifacts was noted with a photo on page 5.

Anstett delivers final Manitoba funds for Erickson Main Street
