Deer Feeding Program Supports Wildlife Through Winter
The Rossburn Game and Fish Association reports a successful winter deer feeding effort at nine stations aided by volunteers and local farmers. About 540 deer were fed, with $1,800 spent locally and $2,000 provided by Natural Resources. The Arrow Lake aeration ran February and March, keeping oxygen high enough to protect fish, while Rossman Lake saw oxygen decline and winter kills. The group plans fundraising with the Rossman Lake Resort Board for a new aeration unit.
