Manitoba Hydro Protection Bill aims to block privatization

Molson Local Heroes funds boost facilities in four towns

Groups in Oak River Rossburn Shoal Lake and Birtle will receive up to $5 000 each under Molson Local Heroes to upgrade local sport and recreation facilities. A total of 30 communities were approved in 2001. Funds range from $50 to $5 000 to subsidize materials for facility improvements. Local Heroes provide manpower and project coordination. Facilities must be accessible to all residents after completion.
