Oakburn and Rossburn press staff review at Pelly Trail
At the March 9 Pelly Trail School Division board meeting delegations from Oakburn and Rossburn pressed for staffing changes in the 1998 99 budget. Oakburn seeks to keep a K 3 school, contending 23 students with 8 kindergartners in September, while Rossburn urges avoiding moving grades 7 8 to the high school and preserving staff. The board discussed funding, interim money, in camera sessions, and later adopted or postponed several budget and policy items, with a special March 2 session approving staffing plans and budget components for 1998 99 and outlining school allocations.
