Knights of Columbus 8138 led by Leo Clem ent and Mervin Koscieiny had a busy 2000 raising funds through pancake breakfasts auctions and raffles in Rossburn Shoal Lake and Oakburn. They awarded $100 bursaries to students in Shoal Lake Rossburn and St Vlad's and donated $500 each to the Shoal Lake Strathclair Health Foundation Fire Disaster Fund and families of infants needing heart surgery. The Basketball Free Throw at Shoal Lake School drew 58 participants from three schools with winners from Shoal Lake Oakburn and Rossburn and a Keep Christ in Christmas coloring contest awarded prizes up to $15. Contributors Janice Waddell coordinated provincial participation.
