UCY Clubs Hold Broomball Tourney At Angusville
Fourteen Russell Ukrainian Catholic Youth Club members joined fifty-five other Ukrainian Catholic Youth members from Angusville Roblin and Rossburn for a broomball tournament at the Angusville skating arena on March 1. In preliminaries Russell fell to Rossburn and Rossburn to Angusville by 1 to 0. In the grand finale Angusville defeated Rossburn 4 to 1 to capture the championship. A lunch and evening of entertainment followed before 9:30 p m when the hall was tidied and attendees headed home for exams.

The March meeting of the Rossburn Credit Union Society Board was attended by Shust Johnston and Kostesky on the board with Cormack on the Supervisory Committee and Andrew on the Credit Committee. The Credit Committee approved 11 loans totaling 1999.00 and two extensions for 1100.00. The Supervisory Committee reported books in order and 43 pass books audited, urging members to bring pass books for audit. A Winnipeg Credit Union League Convention report was given by Mrs Johnston. Meeting adjourned to April 13.
