Divine Service at 1 00 p m at United Church Rossburn with a welcome for all attendees on Sunday July 2 1941.

Mrs George Shaw sends clipping from Toronto reporting RCND landings offshore June 7. Commanders MacRitchie Huston Doheny Kyle describe flotillas crashing through minefields to land 12 Canadian crest, establishing a beachhead with minimal casualties. Troops advanced on bicycles, built a bridgehead while awaiting follow-on units as two Canadian destroyers engaged inshore.

Vista stores closed Saturday at noon. L Hyrsak returned from Winnipeg. Gilbert Chesney visited Woods in Oskburn. Vista picnic at St Hamilton’s June 22 enjoyed by attendees. Brandon travelers included M D Hamilton W J Hamilton and Valetta Hamilton. Mrs Olive O'Donnell on holiday with M D Hamilton. Gwennie Woytowieh from Sudbury visited Shiron Sinclair. A Seed Club Banquet honored Carman Gon for the Ian MacPhail trophy June 24. Vista Soldier’s Aid thanked supporters for a tea that raised 3850. Social at M D Hamiltons June 19 for Pte and Mrs L L Ham with pink and white decor and games. The couple received a purse. a dainty lunch closed the evening.

In Manitoba restricted zones Winnipeg Brandon Portage la Prairie and surrounding districts require exchanging unused G coupons for evaporated milk coupons at Localation Boards. Crisis in paperboard container production prompts citizens to save waste paper and sell or deliver to salvage committees for reuse in war needs.
