Mrs Alexander Hamilton Remembered In Rossburn Funeral
Mrs Alexander Hamilton aged 71 died at her daughter’s Winnipeg home on June 24 and was laid to rest June 27 at Rossburn cemetery. The former Annie Young, she lived on the Rossburn farm with her husband until his death in 1934. Survived by seven children and four sisters, she was active in Soldier's Aid and Red Cross work during both world wars.

Annual Co-Op Meeting Held in Rossburn Town Hall
The Rossburn Consumer's Co-operative held its annual meeting on June 22 in the town hall with about sixty members attending. Smokey Robson of Manitoba Co-operative Wholesale Ltd reported over $77,000 in sales for the year, a drop of about $10,000 from the previous year. Membership stood at 350. Directors retiring were Wm Armstrong, Mike Glushka, and Gordon Taylor. new directors elected were Wm Armstrong, Gordon Taylor, and Ed Shust. A 30 minute film was shown and lunch served to close.

Farm Truck Struck by Train Near Birdtail
Mr. John Tanasychuk and his son Russell escaped serious injury when their truck was hit by a westbound freight train at a crossing west of Birdtail. John lies in Russell hospital with bruises and shock. Russell was shaken but not hospitalized. The damaged truck is reportedly insured.
