Rossburn Game and Fish tops province wide event
The Rossburn Game and Fish Branch led a province wide competition while Game and Fish Association held a successful bingo on Wednesday June 25. About 115.00 was raised at bingo and 60.00 from the raffle. Winners included Picnic Chest Sid Mortimer and Rod and Reel Matt Antonin. A banquet at Clear Lake crowned the crow and magpie points trophy with Otto Elvers and Alex Cleland receiving the award.

Foresters hold regional meeting at Rossburn
The Canadian Order of Foresters District 8 No. 12 held its district semi annual meeting in Rossburn Town Hall on Monday June 23 with 78 members from 21 courts including Brandon Hamiota Riding Mountain Strathclair Rivers Hargrave Cardale Newdale Minnedosa Bradwardine Rossburn and from Regina Sask and Brantford Ont. Exhibition game ends in 7 all draw between Rossburn and Erickson
A Sunday friendly at Erickson drew a good crowd as Rossburn and Erickson battled to a 7 7 tie with Roe pitching for Erickson and Kostiak and Hamilton handling Rossburn. A return match at Rossburn Wednesday evening saw Rossburn win 12 11 with Roe again on the mound for Erickson and D Joiner starting for Rossburn with Don Stitt finishing.

Ladies of Angusville United Church Clothing Drive
WMS Ladies of Angusville United Church plan to pack and ship good used clothing on Wednesday July 9 with donations of money and cloth ing left at Mrs Caldwell. Clothing assists overseas relief and will be packed at Mrs Caldwell's on the afternoon of July 9. The United Church services are closed for three Sundays and resume July 20 as minister Woitte is on holiday. Sunday School opens every Sunday at 10 20 a m. Mr Woitte and Mrs Woitte visited Fer nie and Foxwarren with church duties. at Minnedosa an agricultural meeting was attended by W J Bell and R E Pritchard. their wives visited Neepawa and Mrs Bell's daughter Mrs Bill Ferguson. Miss M Angus of Winnipeg visiting Mrs Rinn and niece Alice Kukura in Russell during the week.
