Spirit of Trans Canada Trail spans area towns in Manitoba

The Trans Canada Trail through Manitoba drew warm welcomes from Russell Angusville Silverton Waywayseecappo Rossburn Vista Oakburn Elphinstone Sandy Lake and Erickson as relay carriers passed July 2022. Designated Manitoba sections include Rossburn Subdivision Crocus Forks to Kildonan and South Whiteshell. About 40 percent complete the route is set to become the country’s longest multi purpose trail.

Rossburn Relays Celebrate Relay 2000 Welcome

The Rossburn community gathered at the Agri-Rec Centre on June 21 for Relay 2000, starting with nine garage and sidewalk sales and culminating with a bike procession along the Rossburn Subdivision Trail. Rick Kostecki emceed as officials and local leaders welcomed the event, with bagpipes and formal handover of the water to Blair Fyten.
