Neepawa Band to Attend Rossburn Fair This July
The Neepawa Lions Band, with 38 members aged 12 to 18, will perform twice at Rossburn Fair on Tuesday July 1. A concert precedes the dance at about 9 p.m. Conducted by Vernon M. Johnson, the band originated three years ago and includes majorettes three of whom plan to attend. Johnson, a trumpet gold medalist in Saskatchewan in 1928, previously worked with bands in Yorkton, Melville, Kamsack, Norquay, Sask, and Swan River and was later associated with Regina’s musical instrument venture and Vancouver Music Co. Ltd. The lineup lists members and missing players in a group photo.

Official Opening of Rossburn Hospital Thursday
Hon Ivan Schultz and other prominent speakers will preside at the formal opening of Rossburn hospital on Thursday June 14 at 2 30 pm. If weather is bad the event moves to Rossburn Town Hall. The hospital will be open for inspection all afternoon with tea served by Rossburn Hospital Aid.
