Oakburn plans millennium Homecoming and School Reunion
The Oakburn 2000 Committee is preparing a weekend of events July 21 to 23 to honor Oakburn history with a parade, museum displays, street dances, concerts, wheelbarrow races, tours, horse and buggy rides, Ukrainian cuisine, a fireworks show, and a non-denominational service. A tree-planting day on June 4 will precede the celebration.

Three-year fixed rate at 6.75 percent with annual interest. Five-year discounted compounded bond at 6.75 percent sold at 72.13 per 100 with 100 redemption at maturity. Sale runs to June 6 with limits up to 200000 per person. rates rise for other floating rate bonds to 5.75 percent on June 15.
