A May 28 event in Rossburn with weather and cooperation from eleven schools including Angusville Bryan Byrd Colonsay King George Islay PerthRuska Rawa Oak burn and Rossburn. Angusville won the marching shield Rossburn second. Junior baseball Rossburn beat Foxwarren. R C M P show by Cpl Boncey. Crests awarded Gary Lindsay and Marion Miller Shirley Yanick tied for girls. Trophy won by Rossburn with Oakburn second.

Beloved Lady Mary Baker Buried At Argyle
Funeral service for Mary Margaret Baker wife of Walter Baker was held at Vista United Church on May 20 officiated by Rev. Nixon. A war bride from England arriving in 1919 she lived in Kelloe and Vista. Survived by husband two sons and three daughters and six grandchildren interment in Argyle cemetery.

About forty people gathered in the Rossburn Club Room to welcome the Smycniuk families who recently took over the Rossburn Hotel. A short program featured music and welcomes with bouquets presented to each family. H. Boychuk chaired the event, sponsored by the Rossburn Ukrainian-Canadian Committee.
