Rural Municipality of Rossburn held a June meeting with all members present. Grants totaling 10.00 monthly municipal aid and two disability allowances were approved. Grading tenders and bridge rebuild bids were opened, with Peter Melnyk and Michael Derkach accepted. Ratepayers petitioned to alter the East West grant road route. engineer approval pending. Cemetery Committee Plans June 16 Clean Up Day

Nineteen top western Manitoba and eastern Saskatchewan teams entered Rossburn for Queen's Day ball competition on Thursday June 9 despite a cool day. Entries include Holar Dauphin McConnell Roblin Gilbert Plains and Hamiota with strong midget club participation and a Large draw featuring Foxwarren Binscarth McConnell Rossburn Elphinstone Dauphin and others. Agricultural Society and sports committee met June 3 to plan events including Dominion Shows, a heavy wire fence, an invitation tournament, a dance committee, revived Binscarth Band, calf sale open to 4-H, and a potential opening by Hon. S Garson.

W A Meeting Held Friday At Mrs Aylwin Home
The W A met Friday at Mrs H Aylwins with 13 members. Roll call produced a facecloth and soap for the hospital. They will cater the Kilburn Cormack wedding on June 25. A committee was formed to arrange details. Pew and floor repainting began Monday in the church. Aisle carpet to be purchased. The group raised about 125 for catering the W IL convention on May 20. Jackpot won by Mrs Emma Elvers. Lunch was served by Mrs Helen Aylwin, Mrs Lorna Veitch, and Mrs Mae Simpson.

Delegation From Rossburn Attends Urban Conference
A Rossburn delegation joined the Manitoba Urban Association mid summer meeting. Mayor Earl Moffat traveled by car with councillors Wm Antonichuk Mike Smyecniuk Peter Wladyka and J I Huston. The group enjoyed a fishing trip and hosted former Rossburnites. Roads to the Flin Flon site were described as quite good. They departed Thursday morning and returned Sunday afternoon.

Angusville High School held a May 31 graduation starting at 8 30. Lorraine Ferguson gave the valedictory and Lawrence Luba offered a reply. Arthur Chaytor received the torch from Betty Pritchard as Alston of Rossburn urged further education. Grade eleven honorees included Linda Ashey Gerry Stefanishyn Arthur Chaytor and Marlene Sen Lawrence Luba. Grand March at 10 led to the graduation dance with ballroom lights and balloons. Grade ten girls served a delicious lunch.
