Victims Of Highway Fatality Laid To Rest On Saturday
Funeral services were held Tuesday night at Westminster United Church for Mr. and Mrs. Ernest McNair and Mrs. C Goggin of Shoal Lake. Burial for the McNairs occurred at Shoal Lake cemetery while Mrs. Goggin was sent to Debuke Iowa for burial beside her husband. Survivors include two sons and a daughter and two grandchildren.

Barley Field Day At Rossburn Draws 200 Farmers
A July demonstration on swathing and combining barley was held at the Rossburn Fair Grounds drawing over 200 farmers. Speakers covered barley grading swathing technique combine operation adjustments and threshing for malting premiums. The event was sponsored by the Barley Improvement Institute and provincial extension services.

Manitoba Girls Meet Queen Elizabeth at Buckingham Palace
Three Manitoba girls from Winnipeg St. Vital and Shoal Lake joined a Canadian tour group to shake hands with Queen Elizabeth at a royal garden party.
