Parkland Region Gets Federal Funds for Community Futures Plan
MP Brian White announces on behalf of Barbara McDougall that the Parkland Region including Dauphin Roblin Russell and Rossburn will receive 400000 over two years under the Community Futures Program of the Canadian Jobs Strategy. Tragic Drowning At Lizard Point Well
Rossburn RCMP report a one year old boy, Christopher Shingoose Jr., died after falling into an underground water well on the Lizard Point Indian Reserve on Wednesday. The child was playing with siblings when a plywood lid was pushed off. the father lowered a son into the 25 cm hole to retrieve him. Grandmothers and medical staff failed to revive him. he died at 2 00 p.m. at Rossburn District Health Centre.
