Tragic death of Amanda Cook near Rossburn fairgrounds
RCMP Cst Ben Duval reports the discovery of 14 year old Amanda Jane Cook in tall grass west of the Rossburn fairgrounds after she disappeared from the Rossburn Parkland Summer Festival on July 13. Investigators from across Manitoba converge on Rossburn to identify those responsible.

Rossburn Parkland Summer Festival Draws Big Crowds
Weather cooperated for a two day Rossburn Parkland Summer Festival attracting about 1,400 attendees and a rise in pari mutuel booth activity. The kick off featured bingo at the Agri-Rec Centre with a 1,000 jackpot shared among four winners. Saturday showcased a pancake breakfast, parade with 35 floats, awards for best commercial and most original, and a midway with a petting zoo and gymkhana. Sunday added a flea market and ongoing exhibits at the Agri-Rec Centre and fairgrounds.
