The Rossburn post office project advances with approval granted, contractor A. J. Saley overseeing a 26 by 46 foot L shaped building. Upon completion in the first week of August the facility will feature a front box section a side general delivery area and expanded work space for faster mail sorting.

Bishop Blesses Ukrainian Catholic Church in Rossburn
His Excellency Bishop Andrew Rوزesky blessed the Ukrainian Catholic parish in Rossburn on Sunday July 11. A large crowd welcomed him at the church gate and a Mass followed with Fathers Fornalchuk and Zakrewski. After services, about 350 people shared a dinner in Town Hall basement and heard welcomes from local officials and church representatives. The bishop praised the parish and town and foresaw a bright future.

Mr. Robt. Jinkens, a Shoal Lake pioneer resident, died Sunday July 18 in Shoal Lake. The funeral service was held Tuesday afternoon at the Shoal Lake United Church and burial followed at Shoal Lake Cemetery.
