Vista Residents Gather For Picnics And Visits

Willis Stitt and sisters return to Winnipeg after holidays at Banff and Cranbrook with family. Many neighbors visit relatives in Portage, Brandon, Shoal Lake, Rossburn, and Winnipeg. A Vista Community Picnic is planned for July 12 at J Lillis pasture and church services resume at Vista United Church.

Rossburn Fair Day Promises Big Annual Exhibition

The forty third Rossburn Agricultural Society exhibition tops the year with larger horse and poultry showcases after cattle sheep and swine displays were cancelled. Neepawa Band and The Kansas Farmer provide entertainment, four invited baseball teams contest $200 in prizes, and total race prizes reach $400. Meetings and entries close with notices from secretary O Hodge and R Carson.

Swanson Lindsay Wedding Solemnized At Lindsay Home

Ramona Lindsay wed Clayte Chas. Swanson of Treherne in a June 30 ceremony at the Lindsay home officiated by Rev. J. Ray Anderson. The bride wore nylon white and a three quarter veil, with an orchid. bridesmaid Sheila Lindsay wore dusty rose. Attendants included James Swanson and a large list of out of town guests from Rose Valley Winnipeg Cartwright and Reston. The couple planned a southern honeymoon after a large reception.

William Mitchell Admitted After Farm Bull Incident

William Mitchell was admitted to Rossburn Hospital on Tuesday evening after being crushed by a bull on his farm. Details are unavailable at press time but reports indicate he is not seriously injured.
