Rossburn Parkland Summer Festival Returns With Parade and Races
Rossburn Agricultural Society invites Manitoba and Saskatchewan visitors to the Parkland Summer Festival July 13 14. Events include a pancake breakfast parade gymkhana kiddies tractor pull and cabaret with Strait Country plus quarterhorse races and a flea market. Admission 6 for adults 3 for ages six to twelve, under free. For inquiries call 859-2670.

Ride For Life forms to aid those in need
A new nonprofit, Ride For Life, formed in April to offer financial help to local residents facing illness disability or disaster. Board chair Darrell Dinko vice chair Tony Fiarchuk and secretary treasurer Gladys Ryback lead the group. Its first event is an August 10 horse trail ride starting at Herod with registration 10 30 a.m. to noon plus lunch wagon rides camping and corrals on site. See donation on page 2.

New X Ray Technologist Joins Rossburn Hospital Staff
Robin Michaluk joins Rossburn District Health Centre as a part time X Ray Registered Technologist. She trained at Red River College Winnipeg and completed practicum in Dauphin and laboratory work in Russell. She previously worked in Roblin Birtle McCreary Grandview and starts in Rossburn in 1996 while rotating with Candice Decevito.
