Rare caboose photographed on CN freight train

A caboose, once common on freight trains, is a rare sight now as most locomotives use rear monitoring devices. A CN freight train was photographed east along the highway last week.

Rossburn considers Handi-Van purchase with funding mix

Rossburn council hears potential Handi-Van for the community with 80 percent federal aid up to 25000 and 50 percent provincial aid up to 10000, plus operating and startup grants funded locally. Old Age Security and related benefits rise in 1992 July quarter

The federal Old Age Security pension for 65 and older will be $376.31 per month from July to September 1992, up $1.87 from the prior quarter. GIS and SPA amounts also rise, with GIS to $447.20 for a single person and $291.29 with related conditions, whileSPA and WSPA figures increase to $667.60 and $737.03 respectively.
