Margaret Vivie of Vista Manitoba died suddenly at her foster parents home on June 25 at age 8. Born in Birtle she moved to Vista in 1960 to live with the Zemlinks. Prayers and viewing were at Vista Hall then funeral at Oakburn RC Church conducted by Rev Mendyka with burial at Oakburn RC Cemetery. Raginski Funeral Home Oakburn in charge.

Peter Wasilka aged 50 son of Mike K. and Christine Wasilka of Oakburn died at Assiniboine Hospital Brandon. Born in Rossburn Municipality in 1913 he lived NW of Oakburn and married Mary Werzak. He operated a store in Olha before illness led to hospitalization. He leaves wife Mary two sons Murray and Arnold his parents and four brothers. Prayer services were held June 18 at the Funeral Chapel and June 19 at Olha Hall. Funeral Mass followed June 20 at Ukr Greek Catholic Church Olha with interment pending.
