The Rossburn Game and Fish association joins regional groups in a deer saving program. Donations of cash or alfalfa are needed, with tax deductible receipts. Contact Otto Elvers Ernie Antonow or Pete Malchuk to contribute.
The Oakburn Teren Dancers perform eight minutes on Sunday morning during the 11th annual Lions Make-a-Miracle telethon in Winnipeg. The 21 hour CKY-TV broadcast supports disabled residents of Manitoba and Northwestern Ontario with pledges urged by Oakburn Lions members.
The Rural Municipality of Rossburn met January 14 at 10:00 A.M. In attendance were Reeve John Mitchell and councillors. Minutes and December financials were approved. Several by laws related to remuneration, grants, and staff wages were given readings. The council set dates for tax sale and a 1985 court revision, approved a bridge/park project with the Lions Club, and discussed subdivision waivers and ambulance funding. Donations to local service groups were approved.
