A government note urges 16,000 woodworkers to return to camps after a season drop with 15,000 traditional workers still idle. Ministers stress high timber and pulp needs, calling for full camps soon and urging fit men to start work and recruit others to boost production.
The Minnedose Tribune notes that a new safety law, effective last December, imposes strict financial responsibility rules. Drivers must carry a pink motor vehicle insurance card or a white registrar card for the vehicle and owners face severe penalties if violations occur. Indefinite impoundment, license suspension, and registration stoppage threaten both drivers and owners in cases of accidents or driving by nonowners.
Mrs Osadee died after seven weeks in Shoal hospital aged 26. Funeral at Creek Catholic Church Oakburn led by Rev. Maryan Shwed on January 18 with interment in Oakburn cemetery. Survived by husband two children Sonja and Clarence six months old parents Mr and Mrs Mike B Wasilka siblings Nick Steve Morris Annie Ma duke Mary Wasilki four and Popie Tk? Jimmy Hadwitz and others noted in community notices.

Roads blocked for traffic to Mexis. Elsie Chileawski leaves for teaching at Grand View. W Mayonniuk returns home after Winnipeg visit.
