Progress Report on Arena Addition at Rossburn
The Rossburn Arena addition construction advances with partitions in place and drywall work ongoing on site. Plumbing and electrical progress along schedule, kitchen operational with new grill and deep freeze, and limited floor covering planned for bathrooms and kitchen. Fundraising continues though no tax money used. grants from Municipal Rural Development Corp and a Lip grant finance labour and materials.

Linament Hockey Tournament At Oakburn
Oakburn hosts a two day linament hockey event on Jan 29 and 30 with teams Birtle Elphinstone Oakburn Onanole and Rossburn. Openers include Oakburn versus Onanole at 8 PM Saturday and Birtle versus Rossburn at 10 AM Sunday followed by Elphinstone at 12 30 PM. Trophies awarded for A and B events and a five dollar per win fee excludes finals.

Park District Council discusses planning and herd law
A January 10 1977 meeting of the Local Government District of Park in Russell Manitoba reviewed planning topics with Dauphin planners including Building Inspector appointment and subdivision plans. A special February session on herd law was announced and a subdivision by A Wheeler was approved pending resolutions. General cheques totaling 12481.44 were approved for Dec 31 1976.
